Services to State Employees
The New Mexico State Library supports state agencies in New Mexico by providing special library services for government employees. We also provide public distribution of information published by state government in our State Publications Depository collection and distribution program. - Books and journal articles related to your job assignment which are not available online or in print can be obtained from libraries in and out of New Mexico through our interlibrary borrowing network, ILLiad.
Government employees have access to the following subscription databases from their desks.
- El Portal databases to numerous journals covering various topics
- Newsbank database of New Mexican newspapers
- America: History and Life is an index of literature covering the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present. The database includes indexing for 1,700 journals from 1964 to present. America: History and Life also includes citations and links to book and media reviews. Copies of the articles may be ordered via our Interlibrary Loan service. Fill out the form and State Library staff will e-mail the article directly to your office.
